Latasha (she/her) is a lifelong Tacoma resident and a proud homeowner in Hilltop. Latasha is a dedicated advocate for the solidarity economy, emergent strategies, reparative spatial justice, and community-centric fundraising focusing on housing, self-sustainability, and the built environment.
With a B.A. in African American and African Diaspora Studies from Columbia University, Latasha is always looking for opportunities to use her passion for urban studies and cultural competency to serve the Hilltop community.
You can usually find Latasha taking a random interesting class, or hitting up events, exploring, and getting into good trouble around Tacoma with her three children.
Tina La Bouvé comes to Hilltop Action Coalition as a person committed to this community. She formerly served as the homeownership counselor for Homeownership Center of Tacoma for many years and now serves in a similar capacity for Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU.) Tina has always believed in the people of Hilltop and deliberately made her home here when the atmosphere was at its most challenging. As a HAC board member, her goal is to advocate for the diverse Hilltop community for the wonderful place it has always been and continues to be. Tina enjoys being a neighborhood Auntie and her hobbies include spending time with family, tending to her many house plants, collecting cardigans and cooking with lots of butter.
ABOUT HAC
The Hilltop Action Coalition (HAC) was created in 1989 in efforts to address neighborhood safety during a time it was needed most. HAC has evolved since, continuting to serve the community by being a centralized hub for information and resources.
